Christine graduated from Columbia University as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in 2011. She has worked in a variety of settings as both an RN and APN over the past 26 years. Some of her favorites have been inpatient and residential eating disorders programs, with pregnant and parenting adolescents, for a developmental disabilities clinic, and doing Narcan overdose prevention training and HIV testing in the back of a windowless Sprinter van throughout Harlem and the Bronx. She began her private practice in 2015. The practice expanded rapidly after Christine began to accept Medicaid (followed by other insurances). She works with both mental health and addiction issues across the lifespan.
Changes in the healthcare system led Christine to downsize her practice in May 2023 with a final transfer of medication management patients in February 2024. She is now doing medication management at CPC Integrated Health exclusively. CPC was carefully chosen due to their similar ideology in working with patients with socioeconomic challenges. The only downside is that she can’t bring her dogs to work anymore.
Christine has shifted the focus of CRP Behavioral Health to consulting, education and other services. She is also pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at George Washington University in Washington, DC, with a focus on health policy. She wants to use her experiences as a provider and practice owner to educate those who make policies that affect us all and inform the public of their impact.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, sewing and woodworking.
